It has been a really busy couple of days in a row and I'm not about to slow down just yet. I am taking time to post a quickie, as I'm headed to the studio shortly to work on my newest song. All is well with me and I hope the same with all of you! Come Monday I will be slowing down ever so slightly and my main focus is to recharge my batteries for the start of September and definitely I need to get a voice lesson in! Ahead Of Myself
I can't believe summertime is almost over. I mean, I know it's technically not over til late September, but I can already feel the coolness in the air, especially at night time. The end of summer means one thing to me and that is that Fall is coming....Yay!! My favorite season of the year, which brings Halloween and more importantly...SAW! haha Seriously though, before I get too ahead of myself, this is my last week of pure craziness and then I'll get a little break. I've gotta say though, as busy as I am, I am very lucky to be doing what I am doing all the way around. I'll take my music and my part time job over going to school any day!! Alrighty, I am getting wicked pumped for tonight's double eviction on Big Brother!! We are young...heartache to heartache we stand...no promises, no demands...love is a battlefield. Yes, that would be the lyrics of none other than Pat Benatar! Let me just say that she is truely an amazing singer and her husband is an amazing musician. Together they are unbelievably talented! It's gotta be so much fun to do what you love the most with the person you love the most. Not everyone is that fortunate. I however, was very fortunate to be able to go and see them. The whole night was as fun as I expected it to be! I really think more trips to Turning Stone are necessary just because the showroom is so intimate and perfect for seeing some great performers up close and personal! What would be even better is if I get to perform there!! Wait...there are no if's in my vocabulary...just when's?! haha Well I believe it's about time for dinner so I gotta run! Happy Hump Day! xoxo

Everybody's out there cryin' to be heard and I'm no different! From the feedback I get from different parts of the world and here in the States, I’m actually being heard but we all know the world is a big place! To Hell and Back
Have I ever mentioned how much I love being busy? No...for real!! I like the feeling of accomplishment on a daily basis. It's been crazy the past few weeks and it's not going to slow down just yet. So forgive me if I miss a day here and there on my journal. I promise to keep everyone updated as much as I can. The truth is, I wish I could elaborate more, but I have to keep some things to myself...sorry! Last night I had the chance to meet with my VIPs at the studio and yes, that included Mr. Reid Whitelaw. He has such a great energy that I love to be around and I love to hear all his stories about the music business and the film business. It seems as though no matter how big you get or how much success you've had, you still go through rejection and you still have heartbreak. I just think that if you love something enough you'll go to hell and back for it, get beat up along the way, and then some. The end result will definitely be worth it though! Well I have a loooong weekend ahead of work, but as long as the sun is shining, I'm good to go! Have a fabulous one!! xoxo

Stuff
YaY! A day off of work for me BUT instead of sleeping in I opted to go with my mom to her doctor appointment this morning. My grandma tagged along too, which is always fun so afterwards we stopped for chinese food for our lunch and did a little grocery shopping too! Home again and now I'm catching up with administrative stuff, emails, etc. Last night rocked in the studio with laying down more guitar tracks for my new song. FYI...it has a Beatles/Madonna vibe! Standing Strong
Some family goodness happening as of recent...like my older brother is in the process of buying a place to live, my younger brother is getting ready to start his 2nd year of college, my parents 36th anniversary just passed and I'm continuing to do my thing. I'm not gonna lie... I've been busy working and all that, but musically I'm standing strong. ;-) When I sing my songs it feels sooooo right! I'm fired up and ready to go man! Just tell me when! xoxo

Sleepy Head
I knew I was beat after work yesterday. Basically I crashed in front of my computer while watching the BB Live Feeds to the point of falling asleep with my clothes on. In the middle of the night I changed into my pj's and slept till noon. I just made scrambled eggs with cheese for lunch and once I'm fully awake I will be singing! Everyone is home so I will just have to hide away in my own little corner to not be bothered! Unless of course I wanna be bothered! haha Alrighty, hope your Monday is great! xoxo

Drop It Like It's Hot
Before I bounce and get my ass to work I wanna drop a journal entry for ya all! I worked all day yesterday plus had studio all night! One hour in-between to refresh, eat and go! Last night I felt I was back in the zone musically where it’s the best, best feeling in the world. My guitar player did not show up, which was critical too, so my producer called in Jimmy John and with his awesome vibe and talent laid down the guitar tracks to my newest song! He dropped it so hot ,that I was doing the happy dance! Writing songs with my producer is like a natural high for both of us. We motivate each other so much we don’t want to stop some nights! It’s unexplainable to those who can’t relate. It's clear as day that I could live and breathe this kind of creativity! To stop is to die! Hope your Sunday is freakin’ awesome!!! xoxo

Embrace It All
I've had a rough week but doubt anyone would know it. I have so much going on in my head and heart. I don't complain (much) but inside is a girl wanting to scream. Where it is darkest I wanna shine my light! I wanna go to the extreme and show everyone what I'm made of! So when I finally get the chance to prove myself there will be a major explosion! Craziness is all around us yet we all want peace & harmony in our lives! The Olympics is a perfect example of this. I embrace it all and I'm getting tougher by the minute! So It Goes
I missed out on the female bonding that happens once a year when my mom, aunt and cousin get together at my grandmother's and clean her whole house! We're talking flipping the mattress, sucking up dust bunnies and shampooing the carpet. The real nitty gritty kind of cleaning! haha Wouldn't you know it, they decided to do it on a day I had to work. haha Oh darn! However, I did sneak over before work and my grandma made me eggs and toast anyways! Work went by and tonight is my time to watch the BB10 live eviction. Of course I'd rather be making music in the studio but since I'm not...bring on Julie Chen and Big Brother! Peace out! xoxo

Yummy
I've been engrossed in the book, "Fast Food Nation", as of late. Whenever I get a minute to sit down for a few, away from the computer, TV and cell phone, I'm captivated. Even if for just 15 minutes, it's like taking a power nap! Exercise for my brain cells that surely must be dying since I am not in school anymore. I never did like reading much, UNLESS the subject was something I really liked. I find "Fast Food Nation", written by Eric Schlosser, on target with how I have always felt about fast food and the American diet. Bad! Bad! Bad! I haven't eaten McD's food in so many years I've lost track. I have no problem saying no to fast food, so bring on the fish and veggies! haha Well everyone.. a quick read, maybe a power nap, some good eatin' and I'm ready to kick ass in the studio tonight! These Things
I slept a bit better last night than I have been lately and today I'm feeling pumped, yet in a low key way. Getting enough sleep is so important I think. I am feeling like a songbird and I get to see my vocal coach for a lesson later! YAY! My cousins from Florida are visiting so it's cool to catch up with them. Perfect timing to have a day off of work so all these things could fall into place ever so nicely. The "BIG" guy handling my music affairs is even making sure I'm still holding onto my patience! Say What You Need To Say
My sweet little car is in the shop today getting repaired. I think I need to be repaired today cuz I'm not feeling very awesome. I'm not one to ever call in sick either and I'm not starting now. I've been listening to my brothers music choices all morning and it's been all about John Mayer. And if I hear "Say What You Need To Say" one more time I will scream and say what I need to say... xiwtg4ig9g'amaksdf9utStop! haha Fortunately, I like John Mayer so it's all good! Rock and Rock Hours
The clock was pushing early morning when I finally fell asleep, which bumped me up to waking up after 1PM and I have to work at 5 today. It's def rock and roll hours only lately without the rock and roll! So yeah, my myspace is like my 2nd website but seems like everytime I go on other people's pages my computer gets notices that it's infected with a virus, it then freezes and I have to do a scan. Annoying!!! Certainly bands need to have a myspace for networking but it's sad how people have to screw with it. Well, I hope everyone has a restful Sunday but don't be idle cuz idle hands are the devils workshop! mwahahahaha xoxo

I worked the job today and it was a bit stressful. Tomorrow I work a double shift. So tonight I need to sit tight and do admin stuff, sing a bit and catch some sweet dreams. Never A Wasted Moment
Rehearsal with my guitar player didn't happen because of his scheduling changes. Anyone else might say sweet, a night off! But not me! Grrrrrr! So instead I continued what I started earlier in the day. I was doing some major cleaning of my apartment, double teaming it with my mom's help, but once I knew I wasn't having practice, I dove into cleaning out my dresser drawers. Once you get started you can't stop. Much like tracking a song! With nothing marked "urgent" on the books I have the freedom to chose how I wanna spend my day. Bring on the music!!! Question: With no singing or music allowed in the Big Brother House... how would I ever survive?! Answer: I live inside my head! hahahaha Stay happy! xoxo

Lightening Strikes
It started out being a peaceful night and I actually fell sleep early. Then BAM! Lightening so bright it was as if someone turned all the lights on in the house! My cat instantly dashed into hiding and I heard the sizzle of a transformer outside and quicker then I can type this sentence, thunder shook the house so much that it felt like an earthquake, if only for a couple seconds! I unplugged my computer just in case of more coming but little did I know that the tree outside my window would drop a huge branch and dent my sweet, innocent, little car that was parked below it. :-( I have a day off of work but I'm supposed to have rehearsal later tonight with my guitar player. Just home from work and about to have dinner. Checked in with the family, then personal mail and fanmail. I turned on the live feeds for BB10 and caught them chillen around the pool and all that did was make me wish I could float in a pool and catch some sunshine for just a lil bit. ahhh well. Quiet Angels
A little birdie text messaged me yesterday to tell me she heard my CD being played over the PA system at The Spiedie Fest before Ace Young and Vanessa Carlton performed. That was pretty cool news! I don't know who to thank for that, but I really, really, really appreciate it! Honestly, local support hasn't really been there a whole lot for me with the exception of a few quiet angels. I say quiet angels because they don't brag or expect anything in return....they just do it! And they know who they are. They just helped me again, giving me more motivation to keep pushing forward too. Well another week of work down and another crazy one ahead. For tonight I'm going to chill and of course watching BB10! Everybody have a good one! xoxo

Please And Thank You
Sometimes in life you meet people who are completely obnoxious and just down right rude. The words please and thank you just don't exist in their vocabulary. I'm not going to specify exactly who, but today is probably the first time I almost lost my cool in public. I'm a very easy going girl, but I guess I forget that not everyone was raised the same way I was and not everyone is taught to have manners. It just takes a lot to get me mad and trust me, I was today!! haha Alright I won't whine anymore I promise. I'm feeling kinda tired now, so maybe a nap is in order before I head to the studio later. Keeping Busy
Ok, so I missed the live eviction on BB10 since I ended up working late! However I do have a dvr and the live feeds so it’s fine. So You Think You Can Dance still has my favorite picks in the running too. I was so tired last night that all I wanted to do was curl up and go night night. Today I worked. I’m enjoying this part-time job of mine and it doesn’t interfere with my music at all. My free time is less but eh, I work it out the best I can. My friends are busy with their lives too so when we do get together, although not often, it’s great! Studio time tonight. YAY!
